Houston, Texas based the Austin Jones Band has released their long-awaited EP “Chasing the Wind”. The popular indie rock band known best for their original and unique music woven with beautiful melodies and textures is proud to present the 5-song set to fans worldwide both old and new. The Austin Jones Band has been compared to Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional, and Kings of Leon.
“We are so proud to release our follow-up EP to “On Sin and Cynicism,” remarks Austin Jones. “It’s a thrill to bring our new music on “Chasing the Wind” to the world, hoping our fans will truly love and relate to our original songs.” As described by the band members, their songs are written with important reasons featuring their light and dark life experiences, and presented to the audiences in a macabre, desolate, but beautiful and hopeful way.

The EP was recorded at Ivory Tower Records in Houston, TX and is produced by Austin Jones and Ashton Nagle.
In addition, The Austin Jones Band has released the debut video from “Chasing The Wind” for the song “Living It Out”.
The Austin Jones Band has performed in venues throughout the Houston metro area including Walters Downtown, Jet Lounge, Warehouse Live, and Cullen’s Live. The band plans to expand their touring reach over the next year throughout the Southwest and Southeast.
The Austin Jones Band members are Austin Jones – lead vocals/guitar; Ashton Nagle – guitar/synthesizer; Gary Vanderwiele –bass; Christie Green – guitar; and Chuck Green – drums. All members are highly-skilled musicians from the Houston, TX area. Austin Jones is also a professional guitar teacher in the Houston area with over 120 students.
